Johnsons Coach Travel provided 10 coaches for Heart FM’s ‘Run for Home’ 2014 event on September 28.
The campaign involved Heart listeners ‘Running for Home’ from a secret location, with the aim of raising over £1m for children across the West Midlands.
Over 600 Heart FM listeners gathered at Edgbaston Stadium and were then transported by Johnsons Coach Travel to the secret location of up to 100 miles away from Birmingham, which turned out to be Xscape in Milton Keynes. It was then down to the listeners to make their way back to Edgbaston Stadium the quickest, with one rule – not to use any cash!
There was also a prize for the most creative return back, which in the past has been everything from horseback, fire-engines to tanks and helicopters.
Run for Home with Heart aims to raise money for the new charity Global’s ‘Make Some Noise’ which helps youngsters affected by illness, disability, bereavement or lack of opportunity across the UK.
