Kinetic has reached an agreement to acquire Perth bus company Dingo Bus Charter, which operates 12 buses and has 13 members of staff. Dingo provides school bus services across Perth under long-term contracts with the Western Australian Government and privately, and also offers private charter bus services to clients in the schools, tourism and corporate markets.

The announcement continues Kinetic’s expansion in Western Australia; the company is one of Australasia’s largest providers of government-contracted public and school bus services, with operations in Melbourne, across Queensland and Tasmania and across New Zealand, alongside operations in the UK, Europe and Singapore through a joint venture.

Kinetic Executive General Manager for Western Australia, Sarah Ismail, visited the company’s Midvale depot to meet the Dingo team. She welcomed the team and said Western Australia has been an attractive market for Kinetic: “We are excited by the team at Dingo and congratulate them on building a business with a strong reputation backed by experience and quality assets,” she said.

“This signals our first government-contracted work in Western Australia and we are committed to building on the relationships created through Dingo to grow our existing charter operations and identify opportunities in other markets.

“From contracted bus services to specialist charter services supporting the resources sector, we’re passionate about our role connecting communities and getting people to where they want to go safely.”

Dingo Bus Charter Directors Carl Gray and Ray Shortt said the team will continue to deliver excellent customer service with the support of Kinetic. “It’s exciting for the team to be joining a company which shares our community values, and which demonstrates through ongoing investment and continuous improvement a clear customer-first approach,” Ray said. “We’re incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the years with this team through our commitment to supporting local schools and supporting all of our other clients. This is the start of the next chapter for Dingo.”
