Voyages Emilie Weber is acquiring 14 18m Irizar ie all-electric, buses, which will join seven 12m ie buses already in service. The latest vehicles, due for delivery from March 2019, are the first 18m Irizar articulated buses with 525kWh battery packs enabling them to be recharged at night.
Charging infrastructure is included in the deal, as a re repair and maintenance contracts. The 14 interoperable chargers with Combo – CCS2 charging outlets to be supplied for the operation have also been designed and manufactured by the Irizar Group.
The 18m ie artics will have three doors, 51 seats, four foldable seats and two wheelchair areas. The total carrying capacity of each will be 104 passengers and they will have a range of 200-220km (137miles).
