King’s Lynn-based independent operator Lynx has registered two new services to start from October 12

Numbered 36, they will run daily from Hunstanton to Wells and from Wells to Sheringham directly competing with Stagecoach-owned Norfolk Green’s Coasthopper. According to the latest Notices & Proceedings, variations are being introduced to the established 35 and college day 35B variant between Hunstanton and King’s Lynn from the same date.

Lynx introduced its first service, the 35 on January 26 this year using a small fleet of Optare Excels competing against established Norfolk Green routes, but with some key differences. An hourly frequency was later increased to half hourly.

Lynx is owned by Steve Challis, Andy Warnes and Julian Patterson who founded Konectbus in 1999, selling what had become a 45-vehicle operation to Go-Ahead in 2010.
