Welcome Break confirmed on January 3, that it has reopened its service area at Fleet, Southbound on the M3. This is following a large fire in December last year (read the CBW report here) causing the temporary closure of the Welcome Break food court and the Scott Mills Bridge.

The entrance remained unscathed by the fire and is currently still operational alongside the facilities over the bridge on the northbound side. Southbound customers have full access to washroom facilities including Changing Places, however the WHSmith will remain closed until next week.

The Starbucks Drive Thru is operating as normal, while a temporary Starbucks outlet and a Harry’s fish and Chip truck will be opened later this month. The hotel and forecourt are now fully open.

In a statement, Welcome Break confirmed: “In Spring, Welcome Break will be erecting a temporary building in the truck park which will ensure customers have full facilities until the construction of the new building takes place.”
