GERMANY MAN Truck & Bus has begun the development of a new €3.1m logistics centre which forms part of a comprehensive investment programme for the Neoplan plant at Plauen.
The foundation stone for the facility was laid last week at the 5,800 square metre site. When completed it will supply the bus assembly line with parts.
The investment programme is worth € 19m in total and also includes a new main assembly shop, an environmentally compatible painting system and a new customer center. Construction work is scheduled for completion at the end of 2013.
