The coach welcome area at Manchester Airport has been relocated to the World Freight Terminal, Avro Way, Pinfold Lane, M90 5AF.

The terminal can be reached via the M56 at Junction 6. The M56 is directly linked to the M6 and the M60. Coaches travelling to the airport from local areas or Manchester city centre itself are advised to follow signs for the A34 or A5103. From the M56, coaches should follow the signs for the World Freight Terminal which brings them onto Avro Way. Follow Avro Way to the end of the road and turn right onto Pinfold Lane, where the Coach Operations Centre is situated on the right.

Once a coach has arrived at the Customer Transport Operations Centre it can be parked in one of the vacant bays. The driver can then proceed to the reception to purchase a permit, with information on flight arrival times given on request. For Terminal 1 and 2 collection, drivers will be given a password to gain entry along with a permit. For Terminal 3 collection, they will be informed of what time to depart from Coach Operations Centre and be issued a permit.

Vehicles up to 29 seats are charged £5.00 per hour including permit, while vehicles over 29 seats are charged £10.00 per hour including permit. A vehicle wash is available for use for £10.00. Overnight parking costs £25.00 including the permit. High-vis vests are also available for £2.00 each and required when in the manoeuvring area. The facility offers toilets and a drivers’ rest room.

Coaches picking up diverted flights from Manchester are asked to report to Customer Transport Operations where they will be issued a permit to access the pick-up areas in the relevant Terminals. The driver will be asked to provide details of the flight being collected.
