Maynes of Buckie has held its charity day tour for the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) and Rachel House Hospice on Saturday, April 30.

The event, which benefitted from clear weather throughout the day, raised £1,080 for the charitable causes.

Maynes thanked local companies who had donated prizes for the onboard raffle, along with people who gave donations and added to the raffle during the day.

The charity coach tour left Buckie at 0900hrs with pick-ups on the route before heading up to Inverness Holm Mills. It then travelled down towards Loch Ness, with a stop at Drumnadrochit, before retracing the route to Inverness for free time before coming home via Culloden.

The operator sold all of the 53 seats available, and all proceeds of £1,080 collected for the trip and raised during the day will go to the CHAS charity.
