Golden Tours of London have now started to place the first MCV 523-bodied Volvo B11Rs in the UK into service.
The coaches will operate on Golden Tours extensive daily tour programme throughout the UK, visiting tourist attractions such as Bath Leeds Castle, Oxford, Stonehenge, and Windsor Castle.
The first four of the eight MCV 523s ordered from Volvo Bus and Coach are now with Golden Tours, with the balance of the order due to be delivered soon.
The specification of the ‘523’ body features 53 seats with three-point-seatbelts belts, tray back tables, individual USB sockets, footrests, leather side and headrest seat trim.
They are also fitted with a Shades Centre sunken demountable toilet, Sutrack air-conditioning, Bosch DAB digital radio and 19” front and centre flatscreen TVs.
Additional features include Alcoa alloy wheels, driver and crew pa system, front dash mounted 55ltr fridge, hot water boiler, exterior LED cantrail lighting, LED interior floor and roof lighting and reversing camera.
Meanwhile, two out of the four MCV 523s due for Southgate and Finchley Coaches are undergoing PDI checks before delivery from Volvo Bus and Coach, Coventry.
