Mellor Coachcraft has supplied a Mellor Strata Sprinter to Prentice Coaches of East Lothian for use on its new bus route.
Ross Prentice of Prentice Coaches said that the vehicle was a surprise for customers on its 101 Haddington Town Service, who were not told it would be acquiring a brand new low-floor, wheelchair accessible vehicles to operate on the route.
He commented: “The Strata was built to our specification by Mellor Coachcraft this is only the third one to enter service.
“We bought it as it is ideally suited to some of the narrower streets the town service will use, and being a Euro 6 model, it will produce amongst the lowest emissions of any vehicle on the road.
“This coupled to the vehicle’s excellent fuel consumption also means extremely low CO2 output. We look forward to welcoming passengers onboard on weekdays.”
