Go Ahead-owned Morebus is extending some of its services in the Poole and Bournemouth area to operate 24 hours a day.
In government figures for 2014 Poole and Bournemouth saw the highest growth of bus journeys made by passengers. Poole saw a 72% increase – with Bournemouth seeing a 62% jump. With the area being an increasingly popular tourist destination, Go Ahead see now as the right time to introduce these additional journeys.
“We have seen fantastic growth in the number of people using our M1 and M2 services since they were first introduced in 2004” said Andrew Wickham, Managing Director of Morebus.
“With these additional services, I look forward to seeing more people than ever travelling with us over the coming months.”
The M1 and M2 services will become the N1 and N2 after midnight and will extend from Poole to Southbourne.
