National Express recently secured first place at the British Quality Foundation’s (BQF) annual awards with the UK Excellence Award.
The operator beat six other entrants in the large organisation award, and was reviewed by a team of trained assessors using the EFQM Excellence Model.
Chris Hardy, Managing Director at National Express UK Coach, said: “This is a great achievement and a testament to hard work across the business to be the best at what we do.
“Our most recent EFQM assessment saw us retain our five-star accreditation and achieve ‘Enhanced Recognition for Excellence’ by scoring over 650 points. It positions us as an example of best practice for other businesses across the country, which makes me very proud.”
Diane Dibley, BQF Services and Member Experience, said: “There is a real thirst at National Express to flourish, and to empower people across the business to continue to make the organisation a sustainable, customer-focused business for the future.
“National Express has worked hard over the years to get to this stage and to become a UK Excellence Award winner in 2019 is a very well-deserved achievement. I have no doubt that this is not the end of the journey for them and that we will continue to see improvements across the whole operation.”
