A £3.2m bus station has opened to passengers in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

The new station in Worksop follows three multi-million pound bus stations in the county in the last decade at Mansfield, Newark and Retford.

The building, which replaces bus stops in the town, is managed by the county council and Bassetlaw District Council.

Council Leader Alan Rhodes said: “The new bus station it will be a major boost to the economy of Worksop town centre.”

Work started in August last year and has been completed on schedule, the authority said.
