The 2016 competition for the UK Coach Awards will feature two extra new categories, following feedback received from operators and other stakeholders, the organisers have announced.
The new categories will be Coach Industry Web Site of the Year and Best Coach Industry Brand.
The new awards have been introduced following last month’s first ever UK Coach Awards stakeholder meeting, held in London on October 20. Representatives from all sides of the industry – including operators, sponsors, supporting organisations and industry customers – attended the event, and additional feedback was given by other operators who could not make the event itself.
A range of other changes and improvements are expected following receipt of the feedback, and further information, including the minutes of the meeting, have been published on the UK Coach Awards website.
UKCA Chairman, Allan Edmondson, commented: “We were delighted by the fact that so many people took the time and trouble to join us at the meeting, or to provide written feedback and suggestions as to how we should take the scheme forward.
“The ideas from a leading coach operator were enthusiastically endorsed by the meeting, so we have therefore wasted no time in adding them to the scheme.”
As a consequence, criteria for the two new awards have been written and approved by UKCA directors. Entry forms for the new categories have also been provided and are take the usual form of downloadable word files which entrants can complete at their leisure.
The closing date for the new awards will be the same as the other categories – Friday January 15, 2016.
