Welsh coastal town Fishguard now has a drop-off point and coach park to boost tourism and offer better facilities for coach operators and passengers.

The new facilities are in a County Council owned area and are secured by a gate, requiring a day’s notice to allow coaches access, and to make sure customers are properly welcomed and given key tourist information on the area – such as the location of toilets, cafes and the Last Invasion Tapestry, a significant attraction for the town.

John Pockett, Director of CPT Cymru said “This new facilty for coaches in Fishguard will be a welcome boost to coach operators calling in this busy Pembrokeshire town and, indeed, an attraction to encourage more to visit. Operators and visitors alike will be grateful for this cooperation between the Chamber of Trade and Tourism and the County Council which has led to the establishment of this coach park.”
