The cherished vehicles of former operator Kenzies of Shepreth have been popular with buyers, reports Nick Larkin
New homes have been found for all the coaches and buses from Cyril Kenzie’s preserved fleet.
The legendary former proprietor of Kenzies of Shepreth, Cambs had built up his collection over many years. Cyril died in September at the age of 93. His favourite coach, Bedford OB with Duple coachwork JBY 804, known as ‘Joby’ and which he had owned since the early 1960s, is now in the heritage fleet of Dew’s Coaches of Somersham.
“My dad first met Cyril in 1965 and I had known him all my life. I cannot emphasise too much how honoured we are to be the custodians of the Bedford OB,” said Simon Dew.
