Plans have been announced to turn a former Arriva depot at Bishop Auckland into a transport museum, reports Nick Larkin

The North East Bus Preservation Trust (NEBPT) is hoping to raise £320,000 for the initial purchase of the pre-war building in County Durham, which could accommodate up to 100 vehicles. The scheme has received support from the local councillors and an appeal has been made to Durham County Council for funding.
