Nottingham City Transport’s new website

Nottingham City Transport has launched a new website, in light of its old website being five years old and said to be ‘showing its age’; especially for those viewing it on a mobile device – which is now 90% of all visitors.

The operator said that it has also seen the way people use the site change, with people more interested in live bus times, journey planning and disruptions.

The operator says its NCTX Buses App has proven very popular since relaunching in December 2016, and it will be bringing across some of those features to the website.

Next month, the operator will start upgrading its online Easyrider portal, where customers top up their cards.

It will also be introducing the facility to order new Easyrider cards, as well as shortening the time it takes for online top ups to reach a card.

To prepare for this work, the operator has had to make some back office changes to customer accounts as part of the new site launch.

Nottingham City Transport said: “The launch of our new website is the start of several exciting digital improvements coming in the next year.”
