Well-known to many in the industry, he joined Moseley PCV Ltd in 1996 as Sales Manager, rising to the position of Sales Director for Moseley in the South Ltd from 2006.
Alan started his career at Merseyside Transport in 1974 and left to join Salvador Caetano (UK) Ltd in 1986. In 1988, Alan moved to Jonckheere (UK) Ltd until 1993, when he returned to Salvador Caetano.
A spokesperson for Moseley in the South said: “It is with great sadness that we must report the passing of Alan White.
“Alan will be remembered by his very many friends in the industry for his warmth, charm and diligence, and his close friends at Moseley would like to pay special tribute to him as being a joy to work with and a sad loss to the team.”
Paying tribute, Gemma Ireland, CBW’s General Manager of Vehicle Sales & Recruitment, said: “I used to enjoy our weekly catch-ups, when Alan would confirm the advert copy for Moseley South – he became a friend. My colleagues and I were delighted when he accepted our invitation to join us on the CBW table at the 2015 UK Coach Awards.
“Alan was a true gentleman. He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to come into contact with him.”
Alan’s funeral took place on Tuesday, February 13 at Taunton Deane Crematorium. Alan leaves behind his wife Lynn and daughters Adele and Nic and grandson Chester.
