One of the founders of Monsano, Italy-based seating company Politecnica, has died at the age of 69 after a short illness. Luigi Cerquetella helped start the company in 1998, which soon began to make inroads into the British market after its seats were offered as standard fit by a number of British coachbuilders. The company says this was made possible through a combination of quality and Italian design.
Managing Director Frank Riola said: “I found Luigi to be a wonderful man in business as well as a friend. He always had time to listen to customers’ input and react with positive results. I will miss him terribly.”
