Tributes have been paid to Vin Moseley, who passed away on August 6. The 74-year-old died at St Gemma’s Hospice, Leeds after a prolonged illness. He leaves his wife Jenny, his son Karl, who continues the family business and three grandchildren James, Robbie and Danni.

Vin was instrumental in establishing Moseley as the UK’s largest and most successful independent coach importer and will be well-known to many in the industry, having started working at his father’s dealership based in Loughborough in the early 1960s. During a long and distinguished career, he has forged relationships with numerous manufacturers including Caetano, Van Hool, Volvo and Bova as well as with many operators.

Paying tribute, Karl Moseley said: “Vin was a man of integrity who was renowned for his organisational ability and attention to detail. He was also kind and generous, a real gentleman, and he will be much missed by all of us.”

The funeral will be held on August 21 at 1345hrs at All Saints Church, Church Causeway, Thorp Arch, West Yorkshire, LS23 7AH – with the reception following afterwards at Rudding Park Hotel, Rudding Lane, Harrogate,
