‘Old Girl’ celebrates her 80th birthday in Ryde

The Isle of Wight was the setting for a recent very special birthday party, reports Nick Larkin

A special celebration has taken place in Ryde on the Isle of Wight, where Southern Vectis hosted a party for its most famous bus, known as the ‘Old Girl.’ The Go-Ahead Group company held a special charity vintage tea party in honour of its oldest vehicle on Tuesday 17 September, with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.
