Middlesex-based OmniServ has placed its first Mercedes-Benz order for seven three-door Citaro Gs on 18-metre articulated chassis. The vehicles will be supplied by EvoBus UK.
The vehicles seat 46 and offer a total capacity of 163 passengers including those standing. The vehicles will be fully wrapped in Gatwick Parking livery upon delivery and will serve on demanding carpark shuttle routes throughout the Gatwick airport site.
Built to a bespoke specification, the Citaro G seats are finished in City Star Eco upholstery, complemented by wood-effect flooring and ambient lighting. Additional specification on board includes full luggage racking and LED destination displays, with three interior display screens.
The buses are powered by Mercedes-Benz OM 470, 265kW Euro 6 engines, paired with six-speed ZF EcoLife automatic gearboxes. A fitted rear-view camera with dashboard integrated display aids reversing manoeuvres.
