Operators brought a massive splash of colour to the London Bus Museum Spring Gathering. Nick Larkin reports on some of the modern visitors to the event

Special liveries celebrating everything from HM the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee to supporting the Poppy Appeal and Macmillan Cancer Support meant operators brought much colour to the London Bus Museum’s Spring Open Day. Buses were used on the special service connecting the event’s Brooklands, Surrey base with Weybridge railway station and the town’s High Street.

Museum Spokesman Deryck Fill said: “As always the London Bus Museum is grateful for the support offered to the event, not only by owner-drivers but also by transport companies. Stagecoach South in particular sent six vehicles, and Stagecoach London three.”
