Go-Ahead Group-owned Oxford Bus Company is launching a new express coach service to Birmingham International Airport.
The new service, which will utilise the company’s The Airline branding, will launch on July 2, 2016, travelling from Oxford to Birmingham International Airport and the Resorts World Complex. It will call at Banbury and Warwick en-route.
The service will operate seven days a week, with 10 journeys per day. The first journey from Oxford City Centre departs at 0200hrs, arriving at Birmingham International at 0400hrs, with the last service of the day leaving Oxford at 1945hrs and arriving at the airport at 2145hrs.
The first return service of the day leaves the Resorts World Complex at 0500, reaching Oxford Gloucester Green at 0730hrs. The latest journey begins at 2330hrs and reaches its terminus at 0150hrs.
A variety of fare options are available, with half price tickets available for 5-15 year-olds and a group ticket available for groups of four with at least one adult.
For the full length of the journey, a one way ticket is priced at £15, day/next day return at £20 and period return at £25. A group ticket costs £60, while a 12-trip ticket is available for £90. Discounted fares are available between Oxford and Warwick and Warwick and Birmingham.
Time based tickets are also available for regular travellers, with one week (£77), four week (£270), 13 week (£710) and 52 week (£1650) options available.
Passengers are allowed to stow two suitcases weighing up to 20kg each in the hold, along with a small hand luggage item on board. Larger items are transportable if space permits and at driver’s discretion.
