James Day attends the launch event for two new vehicles – a low entry version of the Panther and the first Plaxton double-decker coach in decades

Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) launched two new coaches at a press event which took place at its Scarborough production facility on Tuesday, May 29. The manufacturer now claims to offer the most extensive range of vehicles on the market.

The two new vehicles are the Plaxton Panorama-bodied Volvo B11RLE6x2, the first double-decker coach which Plaxton has offered in decades which is designed for intercity coach operation, commuter express services and high-capacity touring, and the Plaxton Panther LE (Low Entry), designed for stage carriage services requiring easy access and comfort, such as express commuter services or longer distance connections. Both vehicles have low-floor entry and provide wheelchair access through manual ramps, reflecting what ADL sees as a necessary focus going forward. […]
