RATP Dev London announced last week that it is to close its Quality Line subsidiary and Epsom depot.

The depot, which was purpose built by Epsom Coaches prior to takeover by RATP Dev, is located in Roy Richmond Way, Epsom.

RATP Dev has agreed with Transport for London and Go-Ahead London that routes 413, 463 and S1 will transfer to Go-Ahead London during summer 2021.

Drivers will transfer under TUPE along with the majority of vehicles already operating on these routes.

The move ends the history of Epsom Coaches which was formed in 1920. Quality Line was the bus division of the company set up in 2003, although it had operated under the Epsom Buses name since 1986.

RATP Dev acquired Epsom Coaches in April 2012 and operated the coach and bus division side by side until a restructure in June 2017 when the coach division closed and the depot moved to bus operation only.
