In a bid to keep an event in Hampshire for bus enthusiasts, Eastleigh-based Xelabus will be holding a festival of buses and coaches at the Royal Victoria Country Park in Netley, alongside Southampton Water. The event will be held on Sunday 16 July, with free entry for anyone who owns a preserved or new bus or coach they wish to display. Entries are invited via [email protected].

Commercial Manager at Xelabus Philip Blair said “It’s a real shame the Alton Rally has been cancelled this year as it is a very popular and successful event in Hampshire. Between 1983 and 2003 I was personally involved in organising a bus and coach rally at the country park and it will be a pleasure to provide this one off event again for our company.

“We hope the event will be of interest to not only enthusiasts but visitors as well, and with stalls and stands for transport related items plus the display of buses and the chapel, café and railway it should be a great day for everyone.”
The event will open at 1000hrs and finishes at 1700hrs.
