Changes are being made to services on the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway following feedback from the local community. A Stagecoach East spokesperson said: “We carried out an extensive consultation exercise ahead of these changes and have very much taken on board the views of our customers.” A new X-service from St Ives Park & Ride to the Biomedical Campus will give a more direct route via the M11.

Rail commuters have also been reassured by the operator that buses arriving at Cambridge North Rail Station are aligned with the current train timetables for trains bound for London. Stagecoach says that buses will arrive approximately 10 minutes before London fast train departures and leave the station approximately 10 minutes after London fast train arrivals. Buses to Cambridge station will be every five minutes at peak times, and there will be an enhancement to the Hinchingbrooke Hospital B service which will now have a bus running every hour on Sundays.

The Stagecoach East spokesperson added: “We are working closely with Cambridgeshire County Council and Highways England to confirm a launch date of the improved service as early as possible. New timetables and route maps will be available soon.” Full details of all the changes can be found on the Stagecoach East website.
