Matt Rodda, Labour MP for Reading East, said: “It’s been great to come to south Bristol and learn more about how public transport helps people get around the city and what improvements could be made.

Talking to Karin, there are some clear challenges here in Bristol and there may be lessons to be learned for how things work across the country.”

James Freeman, Managing Director of First West of England said: “It was a pleasure to welcome Karin and Matt to our Hengrove depot to discuss the opportunities and challenges we face operating our service in a busy and growing city like Bristol.

“It’s also good to be able to talk about our successes in growing passenger numbers and rolling out e-ticketing and provide reassurances we will continue to provide customers with the services they expect.”
