The Solaris Urbino LE 18

POLAND Polish manufacturer Solaris has introduced a new model to its line up of low-entry buses. The articulated Urbino LE 18 features compressed natural gas (CNG) propulsion and expands the Solaris lowentry fleet to six vehicles. Solaris says the new model has been created to meet clients’ expectations and is in response to new market opportunities. The vehicle is powered by a 234.8kW Cummins ISLG EEV 320 engine meeting EEV exhaust emissions standards. Eight roof mounted gas tanks contain up to 1712 litres of compressed gas. The prototype was equipped with a so-called Scandinavian specification package, including additional insulation of ceiling, side walls, and driver’s cab, effective heating systems and auxiliary heating, as well as comfortable STER seats with seat belts and headrests.
