Festival organiser Richard Lewis said: “After the disappointment of having to cancel last year’s event, we were hopeful that we could go ahead with the 2021 bus festival in April, but clearly the ongoing restrictions will not allow that.

“By waiting for a few more weeks to see how the situation progresses we expect to be able to fix a new date for later in the year which will allow us to guarantee going ahead and, by which time, we should all be much more free to move around the country and attend the events which so many people have been longing for.

“This will be our 10th event and while we had expected to celebrate that milestone in 2020, we are excited by the hope that we will be able to do so later in 2021.”

The latest updates will be posted on the festival’s Facebook page at facebook.com/southeastbusfestival and the event’s website at southeastbusfestival.wixsite.com/sebf
