Stagecoach East Midlands’ Seasider buses returned to service in Skegness and Cleethorpes on Monday, March 26.

The character vehicles, which are open-top Dennis Trident IIs and an Enviro 400 named Rocky, Rolly, Milly, Salty, Pierre, Sandy, Shelly and Candy, will each have a regular driver and operate throughout the tourist season.

Passengers can collect a badge on each of the Seasiders and once all eight are collected they will be entered into an end of season draw.

Marking the return of vehicles, Stagecoach East Midlands will be holding a day of family fun at the Tower Esplanade on Thursday, April 12, from 1100-1500hrs.

New for this season, customers can access a 20% discount on ‘ride all day wristbands’ at the Fantasy Island attraction by presenting a valid Stagecoach bus ticket on entry.

Michelle Hargreaves, Stagecoach East Midlands Managing Director, said: “We are excited about the return of the Seasiders and their appearance is a sure sign that summer is just around the corner.

“We know from customer feedback that our Seasiders help make happy holiday memories for our visitors especially the children. We continue to support tourism along the East Coast and have some very exciting news to announce on April 12.”

Seasider tickets start from £2.50 for adults and £1 for children, with an Adult Dayrider costing £4.40 and Children’s Dayrider £2.20. Unlimited rides for a family of up to five on all the Seasiders can be purchased for £11.50, while a weekly ticket costs £15.
