Stagecoach has become the latest ‘big five’ operator to join the Ice customer loyalty scheme designed to reward environmentally friendly purchases and promote greener lifestyles, following Arriva – as reported in CBW985.
Under the scheme, Stagecoach passengers buying tickets on the firm’s website will automatically be invited to join Ice. Once registered for the loyalty programme, customers will receive Ice points for purchasing with Stagecoach via the Ice website.
Stagecoach is to implement the scheme across its UK Bus division, with local marketing campaigns planned as it is launched in each operating area. A notable exception is Ice points cannot be collected or redeemed in the Oxford Smartzone.
Stagecoach UK Bus MD Les Warneford said: “We hope the scheme will allow us to learn more about what our customers want so we can continue meet their needs.”
