The English Bus has taken delivery of two new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Euro VI-based EVM Elegance 16 seaters from EVM Direct.

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter selected to operate with The English Bus tours is the 516CDI extra-long wheelbase model with Common Rail Direct Injection diesel engine.

Transmission is a 7-speed G-Tronic automatic gearbox.

The exterior is finished in Mercedes-Benz Arctic White with The English Bus livery added.

The livery includes Stonehenge, the London Eye and many other tourist locations served by its tour programme.

Additionally specified are colour coded bumpers, side moulding and front grill all complimented with a chrome styling package.

Passenger entry is via the original Mercedes-Benz hinged cab entry door, with moulded three stage entry step with LED strip lights.

EVM Panoramic double-glazed saloon windows in privacy grey with a large coach panoramic windscreen with twin roller blinds all for great all-around vision.

The English Bus also specified a glass panoramic roof. Climate control is provided by a powerful Eberspacher EV814 14kW saloon air-conditioning unit which is ducted through overhead racks and exits through passenger service units.

The English Bus has specified a PA system with hand microphone, additional microphone socket and clip fitted on the left-hand B pillar, as well as a driver’s pedestal microphone mounted on the right-hand B pillar.

Saloon speakers are integrated into passenger service units. The MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) unit also features a reversing camera which is displayed on the 7″ touchscreen display.

There are 16 executive EVM110 seats which are fitted with three-point seatbelts and aisle folding armrests and finished in real leather.

Tours depart from near the London Eye and operate to Oxford, Stratford, the Cotswolds, Kent, Stonehenge and Bruges.
