Transdev has invested in 30 new buses worth £4.4m for its Mainline operation, to run through Burnley and Pendle.

The Optare Versas have been designed to the exacting specification of Transdev, based on feedback from customers, through its recent ‘Make My Mainline’ research programme. The operator said it had included the top five items requested on every bus, with the specification including free WiFi, USB and wireless charging, mini-tables, increased legroom, next-stop information and larger litter bins.

The Mainline team is due to hold a launch event for the vehicles in Nelson on Friday, July 21, and in Burnley on Saturday, July 22, giving customers a chance to view the vehicles up close.
