A rare Willowbrook-bodied Bedford VAL which was ‘a lockdown project that never happened’ is now for sale.
The twin-steer classic coach has been converted to a car transporter, with living accommodation. It was new to Wigmore of Dinnington and was recently bought by Joe Cunningham, a driver with Procters Coaches, Leeming Bar. “We thought the coach would have made a great lockdown project but it never happened. With things relatively back to normal, to be honest we have our minds on other things,” he said. The coach comes with a Leyland engine that runs and drives. It has a fold down rear door and ramps for car access. The structure on top of the coach can be removed.
