As part of its Doors Open Day event on September 24, Lothian Buses will be operating a vintage running day.

Some of the operator’s extensive fleet of vintage buses will run part of Service 16 from Lothian Road to Newhaven, stopping at Elm Row, a few minutes’ walk from where the event will take place.

The buses will run at least every 10 minutes from 0900 – 1800hrs and normal fares will apply, with Ridacards and concessionary cards all valid for travel.

The participating buses include four Alexander-bodied Leyland Atlanteans (the earliest from 1965), three Leyland Olympians, a 1982 Leyland National, a 1997 Volvo Olympian, a 1992 Dennis Dart and a 2000 Plaxton-bodied Dennis Trident.
