City bus operator Werner Vogel is expanding its fleet with 26 new Mercedes-Benz Citaro hybrids for use on services operated on behalf of Erlanger Stadtwerke (ESTW) on a number of lines in Höchstadt in Germany’s Middle Franconia region. Equipped with 35 seats and room for 74 standing passengers, these two-axle vehicles also feature the latest safety systems including Sideguard Assist with pedestrian detection to help drivers in city centres.
Founded in 1959, the company is one of the largest privately-owned bus companies in northern Bavaria, with over 100 vehicles and 130 employees, and provides scheduled services as well as private hire.
