“My father, Roy Barker, started Hythe & Waterside Coaches in June 1982,” recalled Jackie Withey about the family business based on the edge of the New Forest, which she now runs.
“He had been a greengrocer and bought into a coach operation after coming into some money, but later decided he wanted to go his own way. It was based above the hairdressers’ in Dibden Purlieu and the coaches were kept at a local pub. […]
