William Wright, 92, founder of Ballymena-based manufacturer Wrightbus, has received a knighthood in the New Year’s Honours list.

Having already been appointed an OBE in the 2001 Birthday Honours, for services to industry and the community, and promoted to CBE in the 2011 Birthday Honours for services to the bus industry, William’s knighthood has been awarded for his services to the economy and the UK’s bus industry.
