Wrightbus International, the international arm of Wrights Group, has headed for the Antipodes to attend two industry events for the first time – the Bus & Coach Association Conference in Dunedin, New Zealand (September 27-30), and the Australia Bus & Coach Show 2016 (October 5-6) at the Sydney Showground.

At the conference in New Zealand, Wrightbus gave visitors the chance to view the 11.5m StreetLite Max, which featured on an outside display. In Australia the following week, it showcased 8.8m and 10.8m StreetLite buses.

John McLeister, Managing Director for Wrightbus International, explained: “As part of our drive to increase our international presence and market share, we have recently established a new partnership to support our activities across the Australasia region with Patico Automotive PTY Ltd. Moving forward, it will be supporting us with our endeavours in both Australia and New Zealand, with a particular focus on the StreetLite low-floor bus range, covering four variant products, the 8.8m, 9.5m, 10.8m and 11.5m length vehicles.”

Wrightbus International was established as a separate division of Wrights Group in 2012 to drive initiatives in key overseas markets providing significant growth opportunities for the Group. During the last four years, the company has widened its international footprint with the opening of offices in Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Hong Kong, Chennai and Kuala Lumpur with manufacturing capacity in Malaysia and India.
