Runcorn-based coach company Anthony’s Travel is celebrating after winning Cheshire High Sheriff’s Enterprise Award for Corporate Social Responsibility at an emotional Awards Ceremony held at Chester Town Hall on March 26.

The winner of the coveted title also receives £3,000 of prize money and whilst there is no stipulation to how the money is spent, Anthony’s Travel have ringfenced the money to ensure every penny is spent on its carefully selected local charities and good causes the family-owned firm already partners.

A delighted Richard Bamber, Partner of Anthony’s Travel said: “We are over the moon to win the High Sheriffs Corporate Social Responsibility award for the second time and honoured that we were deemed worthy. As a family business which is proud to be from Cheshire, our ethos has always been to give back to the local community. Each charity and good cause we partner enhances the Borough of Halton and beyond so with the additional funding we can offer them even more support. Corporate Social Responsibility has often regarded as something only well-known large companies take part in. We have hopefully shown that small businesses whilst not having the same financial power have an unrivalled amount of local knowledge, resources and passion for the area to which they trade which is unrivalled.”
