Deutsche Bahn (DB), the German railway operator and owner of Arriva, has asked for potential buyers to express their interest in the company by 3 May, news agency Reuters has reported.

DB made the announcement in an ad published in the Financial Times on Wednesday 24, and stated that it was working with Citi and Deutsche Bank on the sale.

The company added that it would be happy to sell Arriva to one or multiple parties, with flotation also considered an option.
