Bakers Dolphins is backing a campaign in Bristol to raise awareness of prostate cancer.

The West Country holiday company is currently offering leaflets on board coaches to further raise awareness as part of its first Bristol and District Prostate Cancer Awareness Campaign. The firm is also sponsoring the annual ‘Run for the Future’ which will take place on The Downs, Bristol on Sunday, September 14.

Amanda Harrington, Marketing Director, said: “As a local business with many customers over 50 we were keen to support the campaign, as that is the danger time for men when they need to get themselves checked out for prostate cancer.”

Bakers Dolphins will have a stall at the ‘Run for the Future’ event on the Downs, which will feature music from the Barry Walsh Band and the Ambling Band.

Organiser Ian Beattie said: “The event has raised £250,000 since being started in 2006 in memory of two Bristol Rotarians. We want it to be a fun occasion for all the family where people can enjoy themselves whether they are taking part in the five kilometre run or just watching the runners.”
