BOTSWANA

Bridgestone Mobility Solutions is introducing its Webfleet fleet management platform in Botswana with the help of local partner Kgare Digital. The introduction makes Botswana the third country in Africa to gain access to Webfleet’s portfolio of solutions from basic vehicle tracking to comprehensive fleet management, with live diagnostic data collection and real-time route optimisation. Kgare Digital will provide in-country sales and support services.

The solution is designed to allow fleet operators of all sizes to make better, faster decisions which Bridgestone says can increase performance, reduce costs and make drivers and vehicles safer. “These are exciting times as we continue the expansion of the Webfleet service to different parts of the world,” said Raj Bajaj, Vice President for Fleet Management Solutions International at Bridgestone Mobility Solutions. “As a landlocked country, Botswana is heavily dependent on road transportation for its imports. Our fleet management solutions can play a significant role in digitising transport in the country, helping to build more efficient, safe and productive logistics.”

Webfleet South Africa Sales Director Justin Manson added: “With Webfleet now being present in three African markets, we can offer dedicated resources to transport and logistics customers in these locations, while supporting progress in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. We also look forward to working with Kgare Digital, who will provide us with the sales capabilities we need to grow and thrive in Botswana.”
