National award winning Stewarts Coaches of Reading has presented three of its drivers, Neil Brook, Mo Seylani and Phil Clark with keys to new company cars.
Managing Director Andy Cotton says it’s a thank you for all their hard work, loyalty and dedication to the company. The cars, Volkswagen Up!s, return up to 70mpg.
“We are fastidious about our standards,” Andy told CBW. “That’s why we have achieved what we have achieved. Our driver recruitment process is hard. This isn’t an easy company to come and work for. It’s our staff who make it all possible and I’m hugely protective of them.”
Although Stewarts can trace its origins back to 1986, Andy has owned the business for the past 10 years. Over that time he has developed it to a thriving £4m turnover business operating a modern 41-strong fleet from extensive, newly opened premises in Woodley, Reading. His preferred coach has become the DAFpowered Irizar integral and the firm’s eighth, 13.37m tri-axle 61-seater that’s being downseated to 53 with four tables was exhibited by Irizar UK at Coach & Bus Live earlier this month.
