D&G Bus began operating a new hourly service from Monday 19 November. The number 26 between Hanley, Eaton Park and Bentilee is intended to replace service 4 currently operated by Scraggs.

D&G Bus is also celebrating its 20th anniversary this year

The route has also been extended to serve Dividy Road towards Lidl before returning via Beverley Drive and Dawlish Drive.

D&G has renumbered the service to 26 to avoid any possible confusion with the First Potteries service 4.

The service, which will run Monday to Friday, will travel from Hanley along Bucknall New Road and Dividy Road.

It will serve Eaton Park on inward and outward journeys, and continue along Dividy Road towards Lidl.

The service will return along Dawlish Drive to serve the Neighbourhood Centre, returning to Hanley via Eaton Park and Bucknall New Road.

It will also serve the intu Potteries Shopping Centre (Quadrant Road), Stafford Street and Hanley Bus Station.

Operations Manager, Kevin Crawford, said: “We are pleased to be able to launch this service for the people of Eaton Park.

“This year we have been celebrating our 20th anniversary as a company, and the opportunity to grow our network by providing this service was too good to miss. We hope to be able to welcome new passengers onto our buses soon.”
