Enrico Vassallo, CEO of Optare, has announced his decision to leave the company.
Enrico has led the business for two years and the company said that he has been instrumental in making necessary changes, including the recruitment of a new senior management team.
The intention is to appoint a successor and recruitment is ongoing. In the interim period, Hariharan Krishnamurthi, Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed as the chairman to the senior management team. He will report to T. Venkataraman, Head of Global Bus at AshokLeyland and Non-Executive Director of Optare.
John Fickling, Non-Executive Chairman, said: “During a turbulent time in the bus industry, Enrico has led the company with considerable passion, enthusiasm and dedication and we are grateful for his contribution and unswerving commitment.
“We all wish him and his family the very best for the future.”
