Go North East is introducing Extra buses onto the Cobalt Clipper service from Blyth to Newcastle from Monday, September 1.

Service 309 is being increased to run every fifteen minutes during the day on Mondays to Saturdays. The service provides frequent links to Whitley Bay, Cobalt Business Park and Newcastle.

Stephen King, Marketing and Sales Manager for Go North East, said: “We’re delighted to have welcomed more customers on board the Cobalt Clipper since we introduced new buses earlier in the year.

“Our new and comfortable double-deckers with free onboard WiFi, power sockets for phones or tablets and next stop announcements have proved very popular with commuters and shoppers.

“Blyth is a popular destination on the route and we’re very pleased to be increasing the service to four buses an hour for most of the day. Customers can travel all week on the Cobalt Clipper for only £12.50, a bargain in comparison to motoring costs for a commute to Cobalt Business Park or Newcastle.”
